The Legacy Learning Loft Mission

Our mission is to produce scholars who will cultivate their legacy—their positive impact on society—today. While we prepare our scholars for future college and career aspirations, our urgent questions are: What legacy are you generating today? What problems can you solve today? 

This purpose-driven learning community is skillfully designed to engage scholars to imagine, think intentionally and critically, and foster positive and meaningful relationships with one another and our community, both locally and internationally. Through inquiry and project-based learning, we promote high standards while our scholars advocate to improve literacy rates through active community engagement. 

Our student growth is now 2-3 grade levels. We experienced 400 percent growth in the 2025-2026 school year.

  • My daughter was a rising 5th grader and at the end of her 4th grade year we were told that she needed to work on her writing skills over the summer and recommended that we get a tutor. I reached out to Dr. Ellis for support. Dr. Ellis was flexible and we worked out a schedule that accommodated summer activities. My daughter’s favorite subject is math so getting her to focus on writing was a bit of a challenge. Dr. Ellis took her time and identified problem areas for us to work on. She provided detailed notes at the end of each session and provided links for additional practice work outside of regular sessions. My daughter felt confident about writing going into 5th grade. We highly recommend Dr. Ellis for any tutoring needs.
